More than 60 years ago, Colonial Press International was founded on the simple principle of providing the best quality and value to our customers, becoming a reliable printing resource for their success. The result today has been an expansive base of technology and experienced professionals with a keen insight in all aspects of printing and distribution. Among our most recent honors, we are proud to have received the 2009 Supplier of Excellence Award from Verizon, the FRMBCs 2008 Supplier of the Year Award from SunTrust Banks and the 2008 New Supplier Development Leadership Award from Hallmark.

In 2010, Colonial Press has added printing equipment capacity and capabilities through acquiring the following:

(2) Man Roland Rotoman heatset web presses with inline finishing.

(2) Muller Martini saddle stitchers

Palamides Beta dual stream hi speed paper bander .

After success as a printing paper cutter, bindery supervisor, and ultimately plant manager, Jose Gomez along with 2 other partners were given an opportunity of a lifetime, to purchase Colonial Press International from the owner.

Jorge, like his father before him, became President and CEO of Colonial Press International.

Installation and implementation of the

Prism WIN Management Information System.

Providing a closed IT system integrated with accounting, estimating, planning, real time scheduling, direct machine interfaces on all printing equipment, inventory management, web portal access for internal and external clients, and integration into our logistic partners.

Nominated as a National Corporate Plus Member of the NMSDC by Wachovia Bank.

Jose's son, Jorge Gomez, joined Colonial Press as President. Jorge graduated from Florida International University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Accounting degree, followed by 5 years as a Senior Auditor for KPMG Peat Marwick, at the time the largest accounting firm in the world.

Quality commercial printing begins with the precise measurement of thousands of ink dots too small for the human eye to see. Printers of the past relied on the watchful eye of seasoned pressmen. Colonial takes color control to a whole new level with advanced closed-loop technology that continuously micro-measures your print and automatically adjusts the printing presses to a degree beyond a pressmans abilities. Closed-looped color control ensures consistent quality throughout a press run. The result is incredible color day in and day out. We have a G& printing certification which is an international system used internationally.

From the moment your files arrive, our revolutionary workflow system automates the major tasks of your job, such as, pre-flight, trapping and imposition. This printing system offers you the flexibility to pick the output device of your choice to submit your files. You can submit your files from any remote location. All proofs at Colonial are made from the same data used for plating, thereby maintaining digital integrity throughout the production cycle.

We have a pressroom consisting of eight (8) manroland presses with in-line capabilities, including UV coating, die-cutting, folding, perforating, wet flap and remoistenable gluing and final rotary cutting. You will experience faster make-readies and more efficient production schedules.

Enviromental Highlights In The Last two Years

Installation of a reverse osmosis water facility internally for the creation of fountain solution for use on all of our printing presses, sheetfed and web. We create our distilled water for use in the facility, and recycle it throughout the presses to control the pH levels and temperatures.

Shut Down of (10) stand alone-Decommission all Freonthroughout all facilities. Upgraded our MegTec RTO system for our web presses; obtaining 98.8% clean air discharge .Maintain FSC and SFI chain of custody certification through a successful 3rd surveillance auditImplementation of an integrated waste recovery system and high volume shredder to recover and recycle all waste paper in our printing process.
